Workplace chemicals are becoming more complex and the impact of occupational diseases is rising here in Alberta and worldwide. Workers and supervisors need to know what is being used in the workplace. Our October Lunch & Learn, presented by Angela Wheeler (Chemscape Safety Technologies), will demonstrate chemical hazard assessment as it pertains to WHMIS; how risk assessments help prioritize actions; and the application of control strategies. This presentation will also show how the latest technology and the industrial hygiene technique of control banding can simplify risk assessments and chemical hazard communication for all workers.
