Topic: Assessing Competency Based on Regulatory Requirements

Demonstrating your competency as a professional in the Health and Safety field can be the one thing that sets you apart from the rest. Ensuring that you are consistently maintaining and increasing competency, as well as keeping up with the regulatory expectations is pivotal in achieving this. But how does one go about demonstrating not only their competence, but how it aligns with regulatory expectations?

Now that the changes introduced under Bill 30 to the OHS Act, require both internal and external to organizations to be competent how can this be measured?

The I-CAB Foundation offers a competency assessment tool that is designed to assist OHS professionals by providing a third-party metric specific to regulatory competency expectations.

CSSE Calgary wants to help members by facilitating assessment access to help separate yourself as a true OHS professional. Come learn more at this months lunch and learn.
