The 2018 NAOSH Speakers Conference and Tradeshow was held Tuesday May 1st at the Chateau Louis Hotel and Conference center. There were 150 delegates signed up for the event which resulted in our largest attendance to date. Attendees had a chance to network with other professionals and meet with various tradeshow vendors including Alberta One Call, Cotton Candy Ltd., 3M, Spectrum Safety Services, AT Safety Training, MHSA, WCFF, Alberta Labour and the Registered Board of Occupational Hygienists and many more.

Our lineup of speakers included Darcy Brown, Murray Ritchie, Glyn Jones and Dr. Thomas Barker. They spoke on a variety of subjects relevant to health and safety professionals from the OHS Legislation changes, to workplace wellness leadership in the workplace.

The North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is a continent-wide event spanning the countries of Canada, USA, and Mexico. The goal during the North American Occupational Safety & Health (NAOSH) Week is to focus the attention of employers, employees, partners, and the public on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home, and in the community.

We strive to:

  • Increase understanding of the benefits of investment in occupational health and safety.
  • Raise awareness of the role and contribution of safety and health professionals.
  • Reduce workplace injuries and illness by encouraging new health and safety activities and interest in NAOSH Week.
